Foster Care
Foster Care and Individualized Recovery
Personalized care beyond the shelter environment
Our Foster Care Program is designed to support animals that require individualized attention beyond what a shelter environment can provide. This includes abandoned neonates, orphaned puppies and kittens, animals recovering from major injuries or surgeries, and those that are too weak to thrive in a kennel setting.
Foster homes provide a quiet, safe, and nurturing environment where animals can heal physically and emotionally. Being in a home setting allows young and vulnerable animals to receive constant warmth, regular feeding, gentle handling, and close observation, factors that significantly improve survival and recovery rates, especially for neonates and critical cases.
Screening, guidance, and continuous veterinary backing for foster families
Foster Caregiver Training and Support
All foster caregivers are carefully screened and trained. They receive complete guidance on feeding schedules, hygiene, medication administration, and basic behavioural handling. Our team provides ongoing veterinary support, regular follow-ups, and emergency assistance whenever required. Foster families are also supplied with essential materials such as food, medicines, bedding, and feeding equipment to ensure the animal’s comfort and well-being.
Support rescue, healing, and second chances without permanent adoption
Foster Caregiver Opportunities
If you are unable to adopt permanently but still wish to make a life-saving difference, you can become a foster caregiver for our rescued animals. Fostering provides temporary shelter and care to animals that are too young, weak or injured to stay in a shelter environment.
You may be a suitable foster caregiver if you:
- Have a safe, clean, and secure space in your home to house an animal temporarily
- Are able to provide basic daily care such as feeding, hygiene, and gentle handling
- Can follow veterinary instructions for medication and recovery support
- Have patience, compassion, and the willingness to nurture an animal back to health
- Can commit time and attention during the foster period
